How to Teach A Dog To Sit

Let your dog smell your treats in your DoGoodDoggy wristband When they show interest, hold the hand with your wristband above your dog so they lookup
When your dog looks up, move your hand up until they put their bottom to the floor
As soon as they sit, give them a treat from your wristband, give praise and repeat the words ‘good boy/girl’ and ‘sit’ so that they associate the word with the action
Repeat until your dog understands what action is expected by the word ‘sit’

Let your dog smell your treats in your DoGoodDoggy wristband Ask them to ‘sit’ (once they have mastered the sit command first)
Place a treat in the palm of your hand and say ‘stay’
Take a few steps back and give praise and repeat the words ‘Good boy/girl’ and ‘stay’ if they stay
Gradually increase the distance you put between your dog and yourself before rewarding them
